New Beginnings! Out with the Old... In with the NEW!

Happy New Year!! It's 2013 and God is getting ready to pour his blessings from the Heaven Gates upon your life like never before! Get ready for God to transform you into what He predestined you to be! Let God begin a new thing in you! Behold, This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! God wants to position you so that He can bless you with the things that He has planned for you! God wants to build healthy relationships, marriages, friendships, sound and solid families, and divine kingdom connections. He has broken the hollow ground and is saturating the foundation for your life! Expect God to do great things in your life. You are not behind! God's grace and mercy is sufficient to bless and prosper you! Seek Him like never before! Stop condemning yourself! You haven't failed! Our God can do ANYTHING but FAIL!  Repent and renew your mind! Speak and declare in your life that you will be blessed, your spouse will be blessed, your community will be blessed, your generations to come will be blessed, your house will be blessed, your neighbor will be blessed, your church home will be blessed, your congregation will be blessed, your spiritual covering will be blessed! Ask God to show you yourself daily; you have to look at the "Man in the Mirror", and say to yourself, I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I am made in His image and His likeness, for everything God created, He made it good! I am God's workmanship created to do good works! Stop worrying about what you should or shouldn't have said, should or shouldn't have done and allow God to change you to do better!  Stop dwelling on the past things and move forward! The time is NOW! Stop focusing on your neighbors garden and "Allow God to Tend to Your Garden". Meaning, allowing God to pull up the bad roots, and the bad seeds that were sown, and let Him fertilize and create it to be Holy grounds! God wants to work on you with your bad habits and turn them into His habits in which are good. He's going to help you turn away from the being the person ---that is the hurt person, hurting people to being healed and restored.. He's going to turn you away from being broken to whole and complete in Christ. He's going to turn you away from being a negative person to a positive happy person in Christ. He's going to turn you away from being a follower to a follower, leader and servant of God. A coward to a champ, a worrier to warrior, a  a gossiping person to keeping the gospel in your mouth spreading it all over the world... insecure to secure in Christ,  sorrowful spirit to a joyful spirit, an unforgiving and unloving person to being the most loving and forgiving person. He's going to change a person who lives in fear to a person who walks in God's faith. He's going to turn you away from being critical to complimenting others. He's going to turn you away your affirmations from people, things, looks, status,  and to being affirmed in Christ, alone. Mr. and Ms. "unlikely" to being a "highly likely" Mr. and Mrs. Godly Husband/Father and Wife/Mother. He's turning that dreamer into a steward -visionary. A hell-breaker to a peacemaker, discontent to soo content in Christ, bondage to be set free--who the Son, Jesus Christ sets free is free, indeed! John 8:36. Full of anger, jealousy and strife to full love joy and peace.   Helpless and hopeless to hopeful and helped by the blood of the lamb and by the power in God! Are you ready!?

What better way to bring in the New Year?! Praising God for His goodness and meditating on His word day and night!

Here's one of them! My new fave! :)
Isaiah 43-18-21
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.
20 The wild animals honor me,
    the jackals and the owls,
because I provide water in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,
21     the people I formed for myself
that they may proclaim my praise.

^^^ How amazing is that? Our God is simply amazing and He makes wonders happen! My prayer is that this blog post bless your life like never before and to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! Ready to Receive Christ? The Gift of Salvation is free!

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus says, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
What does this mean? Jesus Christ wants to have a personal relationship with you. He is waiting for you to receive Him into your heart and life. All you have to do is invite Him in.
But your first step is to ask for forgiveness:
Repent...that your sins may be wiped out and times of refreshing may come from the Lord. — Acts 3:19

Once you've asked for forgiveness, your next step is to believe and trust in the gift God is giving you.
Understand that this gift of forgiveness and eternal life is free. It’s something you can’t earn.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. — Ephesians 2:8,9
Grace is God's power working through you. It means God is offering you something you could never provide for yourself. You don't have to work for this gift. All you have to do is believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ died for you. Do you believe?
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. — Romans 10:9
Today, with all your heart, surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Confess your sins. Ask God to forgive you. Say that you'll trust in Jesus. And thank Him for the gift of everlasting life. Pray now:
"Father, I know that I have sinned against You. Please forgive me. Wash me clean. I promise to trust in Jesus, Your Son. I believe that He died for me — He took my sin upon Himself when He died on the cross. I believe that He was raised from the dead. I surrender my life to Jesus today.
"Thank You, Father, for Your gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Please help me to live for you. In Jesus' name, Amen."
There is nothing magical about the words you use. It is the attitude of your heart that God cares about. Source: Joyce Meyer : How to Know Jesus http://www.joycemeyer.org/EverydayAnswers/BecomeAChristian.aspx#pray

May you have a deep and intimate relationship with the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ and allow no one or nothing separate you from the love of God! He loves you! May your life never be the same! In Jesus name, Amen. How likely will your life change? Highly likely. -With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

God is so awesome!
This was taken one week before my birthday in 2012.  I was so shocked God  was going to open doors that quick! All I could say on the show was "Amen!" My Story:Living with a Mental Illness

Hello lovelies!! Am I the only one that didn't find out that May is mental health awareness month until towards the end?! When I saw it posted on a girl page, I immediately thought I have to blog my story and tell my readers that I've battled living with a mental illness. Since I found out maybe a couple of weeks ago about it being mental health awareness month, I was so full of different emotions, for this is still a sensitive area for me. Disclaimer: I am not an expert, I do not have all the answers concerning mental illness; I always advise doing your own research. However, I will share my experiences and what it was like living with a mental illness and being a Christian. Any negative comments will be deleted. There is someone out there looking for a story of hope and your remarks can make a person feel rejected and want to be isolated. I'm an aspiring mental health advocate and my hope is to bring people to Jesus.  Few facts from National Alliance on Mental

"Why I Chose to Get My Associates Degree Instead of my Bachelors this Year?"

Graduation Day Saturday, May 6, 2017         Hello loves! I'm so excited to announce that I graduated from Schoolcraft College with my Associates Degree in Communications with a 3.81 average!!!!! :) God is so faithful!!! It was nothing but God that pulled me through! I am so ever grateful for the love and support from family and friends that came through for me by their encouragement, prayers, and financially, as a gift for graduation...it means a ton to me (kisses and hugs to all of you).         Before and after I graduated, I got asked a lot by people, family and friends, "what's next"? But before I get into that, I want to answer the question that's in the title of this blog-post! I know some may have wondered, that are my Facebook friends like, "Didn't she used to go to Wayne State? What happened?" Well, yes I did go to Wayne State University in Detroit, Mi and a lot happened. After having two nervous break downs within 8 months apar

7 years since my last hospitalization in psychiatric care

Hey Loves,      In the month of July, I shared on my Social Media my experiences with Bipolar and Dating, Mental Health and Education, and Mental Health and Ministry. I did Instastory posts on Instagram @sheree.p.braswell sharing my journey because I am not ready to blog or do a Youtube video fully about it but prayerfully one day I will. But I did want to write a blogpost about how it's been 7 years since my last hospitalization in psychiatric care! I've had four hospitalizations and ever since my last one in 2014, I realized that something was truly wrong with me that I had no control over. That I did have a mental illness and I needed to take care of my mental health. I've learned taking care of your mental health should be a priority just like your physical health should be and that it is just as important. I had to learn there is no shame in having a mental illness and I had to unlearn the myths and let go of the stigma around it. I had my ideas about mental illne

7 years of being Single and What I’ve Learned....

Photo cred: Hill Media Group Hey lovelies! Happy New Year!   So much has happened since I’ve last blogged on here. I received a grant from Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority to advance my mental health advocacy, did a mental health first aid training for adults at my church, volunteered at Children’s Hospital with the hematology and oncology department, got accepted to Madonna University for my bachelors. Now i am currently working on a self esteem short book for young women. These past 7 months have been a time of pruning, getting closer to the Lord and strategizing. There were definitely some up and down moments but I’m so glad i made it!! Now that i updated you, the Lord really laid on my heart to blog before Valentine’s Day things I’ve learned in my 7 year time of being single. By the way I love how 7 is for completion! Woohoo  ! So here it go: Timing is everything . I learned that at times I wanted a relationship so badly but God was showing me things about m

Be Thankful!

Ephesians 5:20  And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. NLT.       Today, may be the day where you spend time with your close relatives, chowing down on some delicious holiday cooking, and plus more! However, have you sat down and spoke to the Lord letting him know all the things you are thankful for--- at all times? The spirit of Thanksgiving should never come from in due season or in certain circumstances but should be given at all times.  Let your "thanks and giving" not be seasonal but at all times!   For it says in his Word,   Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT (Sad but true at times)      Sadly, around the holiday season some give thanks to God on  Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter and then it's back to them being rooted in their own selfish motives, ambitions and dreams. For some, it may be a time where they sit and mourn
