New Year, New Goals! #2020

Happy New Year Loves! I'm sorry that it has been a while since I've last blogged on here about the release of my first NEW book, "All That Glitters Ain't Gold"! I'm so excited that I birthed that baby last year, had a successful book signing and altogether have sold and given away over 100 books! God is so faithful! And I'm currently working on book #2 which I will be discussing my journey with mental illness and been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I will keep you all updated about that release as well! Right now it is tentatively should be released in 2021 but we will see! :) Keep me in your prayers! So, last year during the beginning of the year I blogged about breaking bad habits and one of the bad habits that I mentioned was my food addiction. I talked about how I was going to exercise and eat healthier. Honestly, I wasn't that consistent in doing that, but it was my goal. With that goal in mind, I was able to get a workout partner and...

My NEW Book is Available NOW!

Illustrated & Photo Cred: Gabriel Reed     Ahhhhh!!! I'm so excited to announce that my very first new book, "All That Glitters Ain't Gold: A Guide for Every Girl to be Godly Esteemed is NOW available on Amazon as a paperback only. My book was completed in the month of completion. It definitely was not an easy process, but I'm so glad one of my very dear prophecies came to pass four years later that I would write a short self-esteem book for girls. And here it is, I finally did it! This book is truly my baby. Here's a snippet of what the book is about:       All That Glitters Ain’t Gold- A Guide for Every Girl to be Godly Esteemed is an invitation for every girl to dig deep into their lives and be esteemed no matter  what chapter they are in their life. In this book, Sheree challenges you to find your worth and value in Christ and learn how to find confidence in Him. Be prepared to journal and feel as if you are having authentic gi...

Anxiety, Clock is Ticking & Ready to Wed?! LADIES EDITION Heart to Heart

Photo credit: Detroit Free Press: Say Yes to the Dress      Hey Ladies! Happy belated Valentine's Day 😗I hope you were at peace, if not, then I want to encourage you that you are not alone, sis! Today, my sis in Christ, Elder Terri Bard put on an event at David's Bridal in Novi where if you were single, engaged, talking to someone, in a relationship or even situationship  lol, to try on wedding dresses. And guess what? Some of us walked out with a payment on a dress or paid it in full!!! GOD IS AMAZING! I know it sounds crazy to be single and put a payment on a dress with no prospects but God is faithful! Some of us knew what God promised to us and the name of the event was "Yes to the Dress!! Prep for the Promise! We had such a great time and I'm so thankful for Terri's obedience. But there were moments that were trying to spoil our day and consultants that did not catch our vision but one lady named Lynn did.  Lynn is a minister who recently got marrie...

Breaking Bad Habits in 2019

Photo credit: Living Magazine      Hey Loves! Happy New Year! Man, last year was so tough. I lost two loved ones that were very dear to me and my dog. There were a lot of changes that went forth in 2018 and now this year I am ready to tackle areas in my that are strongholds. I don't know about you, but this year will be about breaking bad habits. I want to break bad habits and build good habits! This year I plan to target one of many areas of my life that I have been consistently inconsistent with and that is my health and fitness. I decided to go against that gluttony spirit and binge eating and lack of consistently working out by owing it to myself. I decided this will be the year I get into my fitness and serious about my health and it is not easy whatsoever! But I'm doing it for me. I don't want my stomach or food to be my god or idol (Philippians 3:19) I don't want to be in bondage in my body. I want a healthy life. It is by the grace of Go...

"When Things Didn't Go As Planned..."

Hey loves! This topic was heavy on my heart and I decided to blog about it because it's what I've had to face and that is when things in life didn't go as planned. To be honest, I thought I would be finished with my Bachelor's, even my Master's, be married and at least have one child on the way living my best life down south. Instead, I'm here in Michigan dreading the snow, single, no children, and still working on my Bachelor's. I never thought I would be diagnosed with a mental illness at a young age and have my entire life altered, it just didn't seem fair to me. But it happened, and the best decision I had to choose for my life was to become an advocate for mental health awareness. You see, even though I strongly had other desires, God has other plans and a purpose for each season in my life and the same goes for you! Even though it doesn't make sense. Even though I cried, screamed, got angry and frustrated with the LORD about my desi...

"...But I Feel Incompetent!"

\      Hey, lovelies! So God has laid this topic on my heart and that is for the feeling of being incompetent. Have you ever applied for a job and didn't get it? Have you ever felt like you were called to do something but haven't stepped out yet because you have these feelings of being unskillful? Have you ever read the bible and felt as if it was just too difficult for you to understand? Have you tried breastfeeding your baby and couldn't get past two weeks? Have you ever suffered a miscarriage and it left you feeling that you were never able to become a mother? Are you working on your degree for school and it feels like you can't finish that degree? Or are you supposed to be in school but because of the feeling of incompetence, you procrastinate on applying? These are just a few scenarios out of many but if you answered yes to any of these, please know that you are not alone. The feeling of being incompetent will leave you feeling defeated every time. I personall...
