My Story:Living with a Mental Illness

Hello lovelies!! Am I the only one that didn't find out that May is mental health awareness month until towards the end?! When I saw it posted on a girl page, I immediately thought I have to blog my story and tell my readers that I've battled living with a mental illness. Since I found out maybe a couple of weeks ago about it being mental health awareness month, I was so full of different emotions, for this is still a sensitive area for me. Disclaimer: I am not an expert, I do not have all the answers concerning mental illness; I always advise doing your own research. However, I will share my experiences and what it was like living with a mental illness and being a Christian. Any negative comments will be deleted. There is someone out there looking for a story of hope and your remarks can make a person feel rejected and want to be isolated. I'm an aspiring mental health advocate and my hope is to bring people to Jesus.  Few facts from National Alliance on Mental ...

How to Be Single God's Way!

Hello lovelies!! It's been a while since I've blogged. It's been a time of consecrating, letting God break me in some areas and being busy with ministry and school. I've had an awesome time doing all those things that I missed blogging a bit and the Lord told me to blog about How to Be Single God's Way! So what an awesome time to blog and do it on  Valentine's Day!? I'm excited and happy that I get a chance to share with you some things I've learned as a single young christian woman. The Lord actually spoke to me during a movie with my girlfriends...I wanted to hang with some girlfriends for Valentine's Day and go to the show and movies and have girl talk. We went to go see How to Be Single on Friday night and had dinner at Apple Bee's...so much fun and the food was yummy! The movie was hilarious and very insightful; for me it moved me to think about my single years and how I spent it with the Lord. For some this day may be very ha...

Soul Detox: Mind, Body and Spirit

Hey lovelies,      I want to thank you for reading this blogpost...I don't feel you were led here by accident either! I want to let you know that i feel God tugging on his people to do a soul detox. This is when you dig deeper mentally, physically and spiritually! The month of August is tomorrow which is the 8th month of the year and the number 8 represent new beginnings. What a great to start it with first, God, and digging into your word and then exercising?! On this soul detox, you are the one to determine how long it shall last. Think of things that take your mind off of  Christ; is it movies, the music you listen to, television shows, food, etc.? I want to encourage you to replace that with Christ! Let his music minister to you than secular. If food is constantly on your mind and you suffer with gluttony; let his daily bread, be your bread and get full on His Spirit not your flesh. Instead of sitting on the couch watching television, go for...

Hypocrites

Matthew 23  New Living Translation (NLT) Jesus Criticizes the Religious Leaders 23  Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples,   2  “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. [ a ]   3  So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach.   4  They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.  Wow!! Clearly in this scripture Jesus talks about the Pharisees who don't practice what you preach! I recall a deacon in the church preached a message called practice what you preach and I was convicted. I was still battling with certain sins and I felt in my heart that I wanted to do right by God and I would tell others the right way to go and what's a sin but still battling my own. Yes it's true that none of us are perfect and we will all fall short to the glory of GOD...

How HE loves US!

First I want to say Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there but I felt today would be the perfect day to blog about the best daddy ever, our heavenly father ...so I felt like what would be more perfect than to blog about, HOW HE Loves Us. It's something GOD has really pressed in my heart to write about because He showed me a few things that I would like to share with you. If you are reading this blog, I hope it brings you closer to the Father Jesus Christ, that it may it bring it you to repentance to reconcile you with the Father, may this blog open your eyes to how GOD sees you and how bad He desires to be in your everyday life and decision making. I pray that you may you feel the deep unfailing love our heavenly father has towards His children and how bad he desires souls to be saved.   As a mercy intercessor, you feel what God feels, "the heart of God" and most times you begin to cry every time you pray for someone. Most people are insensitiv...

Be Anxious For Nothing!!

Philippians 4:6 ESV " do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God ." Hey guys!! It's been a while since I've blogged, I really been working on  some areas between me and the LORD but I had to do a blogpost on what the Lord placed on my heart and what I've been getting tested in is being anxious for nothing! For the past couple of weeks I've been searching for used cars and so far the pickings for my price range has been slim. It's almost like I've been wanting to get a lemon and call it a day. I would find myself so anxious to get something that I was willing to choose anything because I need a car badly. I've noticed my patience has been tried and I just can't wait for the search to be over! I would find a car and be like, "this is it!" But I could feel the tug on my flesh and spirit. My flesh says jump for it NOW but my Spirit says...

Struggling with Unbelief?

Have you ever dealt with unbelief in a way where no matter how many times someone evangelize to you about Jesus nothing in your heart wants to allow Him in because you just don't believe? How about you are a believer but for some reason you can't rest in God because you don't believe that He will fulfill His promises to you? Whether it's the first or second question the Lord put on my heart that your root issue is "faith". If you are an unbeliever you don't have the faith to believe that Christ died on the cross for you to have eternal life, that He lived and performed miracles that are still happening today. If you are a believer you struggle with faith in Christ that He will bring every promise to pass and that He is testing you in this area, So, what do you do? You dig into the word. While experiencing this life, you will undergo things that will test your faith to see if it's it rooted in Christ or in this world. So let's be encoura...
